Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

DESCRIPTION

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) programme equips students with knowledge, skills and attitude needed to practice nursing. It is designed to prepare clinically competent professional nurses. Upon completion of the programme, nurses are able to utilize critical thinking in providing holistic nursing care and play a role as change agents in nursing practice and education in any health care setting.

This is a four-year academic programme with a mandatory one-year internship. At the conclusion of five years, students are required to apply for the PNC licensure examination. Successful completion of the examination will make the students eligible to receive the license of Registered Nurse.

Eligibility Criteria

Following is the eligibility:

  1. In line with Pakistan Nursing Council’s (PNC), candidates may apply for the four-year BScN Programme if their age is within 14 years and 35 years.
  2. Candidates should have completed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSSC) in the pre-medical group with a minimum of 50% or equivalent.
  3. Candidates should have completed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent in the Science group with biology, chemistry and physics as compulsory subject.
